Today I thought I would expand my “Favorite Things” to include some of my favorite places… Today? Paris, France! I’ve always had a love affair with this area, and I am sharing some of my memories and favorite things today here with you…

Looking for Paris, France desserts that can be made at home!?

Edd Blaise the Baker Cookbook Corner

“Patisserie Made Simple” By: Edd Kimber

I highly recommend this cookbook! What Edd does here is GENIUS (Yea, I said it…) by making word-class Parisian inspired desserts and making them accessible for the home cook! I don’t review a book unless I am in LOVE with it, and want to share it with all of you…so trust me when I say – you will want to buy this…

Edd is the winner on the first “The Great British Bake Off” and is the author of two previous cookbooks. You can learn more about him here – http://theboywhobakes.co.uk

There are a number of recipes in this book that I have marked to try. Just a few of them are…

“Raspberry Tartlets” (page 14), “Chocolate Souffle Tartlets with Salted Caramel” (page 19), “Eclairs” (page 35), “Almond Croissants” (page 44), “Banana Tarte Tatin” (page 65), “Chocolate Fondants” (page 72), “Rice Pudding” (page 77), “Caramelized Pineapple Crepes” (page 89), “Lemon Madeleines” (page 94), “Breakfast Brioche Buns” (page 100), “Rose, Raspberry and Lychee Cake” (page 130) and “Macarons” (page 176).

The recipes are simply amazing, transporting me to Paris, and the photographs are beyond beauty. This will be a cookbook that you will use again and again…
