Cheesy Sliders

My cousin Kylie tried these “Cheesy Sliders” from this Facebook video – – and I had to try them myself! She said they were delicious – and I would have to agree! Simple – delicious – flavorful! The spices I use can be substituted for your favorite variety. Experiment and have fun!

Cheesy Sliders

1 package slider buns
10 slices Colby cheese
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon paprkia

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

Crumble and cook the ground beef in a large skillet. About halfway through the cooking time add the chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, mustard powder and paprika. Drain the beef once fully cooked.

Spray a 9×9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Place the bottom part of 9 slider buns into the pan.

Pour evenly the beef mixture over the bottom buns. Place the slices of cheese over the top of the beef. Tear some of the cheese slices to fit and cover all the beef.

Place top buns on top and place in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Bake, remove to cool slightly before serving.

Chew This – Oven Burgers

Sorry for the “Chew This!” Sunday delay, but there has been some technical issues that have now all be resolved. I hope everyone is having a great 2016 so far! My “Chew This!” column and recipe for this past Sunday, January 3rd, was for “Oven Burgers”. It is a delicious and simple memory from my childhood and I have loved sharing this recipe with all of you!

This recipe is so versatile and so delicious and EASY – you really will not believe it. Bake these according to how you like you meat done, and please use meat with a little fat in it. 80/20 works perfectly every single time.

Perfect BBQ Hamburgers

“Blaise The Baker” is cooking again! (Well…grilling!)

I was hesitant to share this recipe at first, because I wasn’t really sure it would really BE considered a “recipe”, but there was enough interest that I thought I would go ahead and share…

I have made this hamburger recipe (when grilling) for years and it’s turned out delicious every single time.

The mustard really gives it a “pop” of flavor, while the olive oil makes the meat succulent and tender. Grilling time is up to you – I prefer “medium rare”.

Perfect BBQ Hamburgers

2 pounds ground beef
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons yellow squirt mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Mix all ingredients together lightly with a fork until combined.

Depending on the size of your hamburger (I make mine “medium” in size) this recipe should make about 6-7 large hamburgers.

Grill to desired doneness. I prefer using a charcoal grill for the flavor, but this recipe will also work on an electric grill.

Serve with your favorite condiments and/or cheese.

For the “perfect” hamburger, serve on English muffins! Delicious…
